June 2 was the day we had originally planned on leaving for Russia. But because of God’s will and the new Russian visa laws we are still here in SC. We actually like it here and some of those from the Russian language class are here as well.We still need to go to TN to get our duffle bags, water filter, and many odds and ends. Most of it is already packed. We are so very anxious to return to Krasnaya Niva and to our many Christian and non-christian friends. If you are willing to pray for us everyday this summer, would you please reply to this post with a YES. Please:
- Pray for the Russian teenagers and adults we will come in contact with that they will come to know Jesus as LORD and Savior.
- Pray for the American teenagers and their leaders to be good examples and that they will grow in the walk with the LORD.
- Pray for good health and safety for everyone while on the project.
- Pray for safety in traveling.
- Pray that we will have enough translators.
- Pray that whatever we do will bring honor and glory to God.

Of course we'll be praying for you. I know you are disappointed about not leaving right now, but there is a reason for everything!
YES! I will pray and so will my family. We are trying to teach our children to pray for missionaries...so you will be the ones they lift up in prayer now. Thanks for being so specific with your requests...it makes it much easier for the little ones to know how to pray for you! Thanks for the work you are doing over there.

Dear Nyla...Thanks so much for your email and for your prayers. Once we get to Krasnaya Niva I will do my best to send updates frequently. We will be living out at the camp this summer where there is no phone or internet. But we can go into town. How old are your children? What are their names? We sure do love Blake and the way he has taken over "Daddy role" with Khari and Malachi.
